DIY costume patterns and tutorials for average humans.

Hi, my name is Chris.

I make costume patterns and templates.

How about if I do the annoying:

New To Crafting? No Worries.

One of my main goals is to keep the making process as simple as possible.

You can get started on some of my costumes with just a utility knife, a hot glue gun and some craft foam!

Costumes that just… fit.

A lot of costume pattterns out there on the internet only include one size, and then it’s up to you to guess how much to scale it up or down so it’ll fit. My patterns contain multiple sizes, so just measure yourself, print the corresponding size and you’re gonna get a costume that fits!

Why Make Your Own Costumes?

You Get What You Want

Need a steampunk jetpack? A diver's helmet? You are not going to be able to go to your local costume store and pick one up for a few bucks. You're gonna have to make it yourself.

It Saves You Money

Once you have your basic supplies, you can make many projects for only a few dollars.

You Get Bragging Rights

"Yep, that's right, I made it myself". You will get to say that over and over to incredulous onlookers as they stare in amazement at your unique creation.

It’s Good For Your Brain

I love it when I hear about parents and kids working together on my projects. Making stuff is great for emotional wellbeing and development, so get off your screen and do something with your hands!

Making costumes can be daunting at first, especially if you have no previous experience. But with a good pattern, step by step instructions, and a bit of patience, incredible results can be achieved. When I first wanted to make a steampuk top hat, I was so frustrated that there were no decent patterns out there.

That's why I started making patterns.

I wanted to make them easy to understand and use, so others would spend less time pulling their hair out, and more time creating.

Most of my costume projects are made using EVA foam. It's an amazing material that is very adaptable to different construction techniques, as well as being quite cheap. Each project has complete written instructions, templates you can print at home, as well as a tutorial video that takes you through the whole process of constructing your costume from start to finish. If, for any reason you are unhappy with your experience, I offer a 30 day, no questions asked money back guarantee!
